Tasks this year include re-installing wave boards, cleaning lights, distributing life rings, installing ladders, and removing, cleaning, and storing the Ice Eaters.
We hope to see lots of you on the docks doing what SSYC members do best, lending a helping hand!
Pastries and coffee will be provided in the morning and lunch will be served after the work is done.
Thank you in advance!
A huge part of the SSYC experience is our busy calendar of social events. The Entertainment Committee plans and hosts a variety of small and large events throughout the year.
If you are interested in sailing, and more specifically racing, there are ample opportunities to join one of our racing fleets, or to crew on one of the boats in those fleets. The women's fleet races on Mondays, small boats race on Tuesdays. Big boats race on Wednesdays and Saturdays. And the double handed fleet races on Fridays.
You can learn more about the various racing fleets by clicking here. And the racing schedule (for all fleets) is available here.
Power boats are an important part of the SSYC Fleet. Members own and operate many types of vessels including cruisers, antique boats, pontoons and motorized dinghies. If you have a boat with a motor, you will find yourself at home among our power fleet.
In addition, our power boaters host a number of events, usually on Thursdays as well as many weekends.

SSYC offers sailing lessons and a year-round program for children ages 8 - 18. We offer a six-week series of lessons in Opti's, 420's and Lasers. Our juniors attend a number of regattas throughout the summer, and host one of thelargest regattas on Lake Michigan, the Kaszube Cup.
